Patriots WR Welker removed from PUP list (AP)

Patriots receiver Wes Welker was removed from the physically unable to perform list and placed on the active roster Sunday, seven months after tearing ligaments in his knee. Jets’ Revis holds out from training camp (AP)

Yanks complete trade for Astros’ Berkman (AP)

The New York Yankees have completed their trade to acquire Lance Berkman from the Houston Astros. The World Series champions sent reliever Mark Melancon and minor league infielder Jimmy Paredes to Houston for the former All-Star first baseman, who will become the Yankees’ designated hitter.
